Milan, 16 July 2026 – Italian company Sphera Energy, a development platform fully dedicated to grid-scale energy storage, today announced the completion of a transaction with global renewable energy company Sonnedix for the sale of a portfolio of two standalone BESS projects located in the Lazio Region in Italy.
Theportfolio comprises two adjacent projects with a combined installed capacity of 260MW, consisting of a 160MW/4-hour project and a 100MW/4-hour project.
In the last few years Sphera Energy has established a strong development track record in the Italian BESS market. The closing of this transaction further underscores the company's proven capability to partner with first-class international operators and to successfully divest ready-to-build projects.
